Education Reimbursement Programs

Employees are eligible for education reimbursement provided they are full-time or part-time regular (minimum of 20 hours per week in a budgeted position) employees who have been employed with the Health System at least six months at the time they complete the course/class.

Tuition Reimbursement

This benefit is available to those who attend an accredited college or university for credit.

This reimbursement can include tuition, laboratory and general fees and textbooks.

Reimbursement is not available to an employee receiving monetary assistance (e.g. scholarships, grants, VA benefits, etc.).

Reimbursement is calculated according to cost and the total grade point average achieved for that semester.

A 4.0 is required for reimbursement of up to $500 per semester or equivalent.

A 3.0 is required for reimbursement of up to $400 per semester or equivalent.

A 2.0 is required for reimbursement of up to $300 per semester or equivalent.

No reimbursement is given for grades below 2.0.

The maximum amount of reimbursement per calendar year is $1500, based on three semesters or the equivalent.

Continuing Education Reimbursement

This benefit is available for professional development that pertains to the employee's job. This reimbursement includes registration fees and textbooks.

Return the completed form with the brochure, proof of attendance and the payment receipt within one month of attendance.

A conference can be prepaid with sufficient notice.

Certification Reimbursement

This benefit is available for first-time certifications only and will reimburse the employee up to $200 .
