Because we serve so many families who are not fortunate enough to have health insurance, we have a special appreciation for the importance of this benefit and strive to make it available and affordable for our employees. We believe every member of our team should have access to excellent health care and choices when it comes to cost, coverage and providers. All full-time and part-time (budgeted to work 20 hours or more) employees are offered a medical plan and the opportunity to secure coverage for family members. Our plans are comprehensive and designed to meet your individual health care needs.

Dental Insurance:

The Health System also believes in providing choice when it comes to dental care. Two very affordable dental insurance options, a self-insured plan administered by Benefit Planners, Inc. and a DHMO administered by CIGNA, are offered to full-time and part-time (budgeted to work 20 hours or more) regular employees. University Health System underwrites most of the cost for dental insurance benefits.

Vision Benefits:

University Hospital offers a comprehensive vision plan through EyeMed Vision Care which helps cover the cost of eye exams, eyeglass frames, and eyeglass or contact lenses.
