Car and truck crashes are a major source of injury to children, bringing 189 patients to University Hospital in 2014. Seven children died. Of the total number, at least 75 were not properly secured in car seats, booster seats or seat belts. Of 189 child crash patients, 7 died. March and July brought the most patients.
