University Health System Supplier Diversity Program
The purpose of the Health System’s Supplier Diversity Program is to increase the involvement of Small, Minority, Women and Veteran Owned Business Enterprises (SMWVBEs) in the procurement process. It is the intent of the Health System to provide the maximum practicable opportunity for SMWVBEs to actively participate in procurement opportunities.
As a recognized leader in the field of healthcare, the Health System is committed to encouraging, promoting, increasing, and improving procurement opportunities to ensure that qualified Small and Diverse owned Businesses provide high quality, cost competitive products and services providing the maximum practicable opportunity to actively participate in its supplier and contractor procurement opportunities.
The objectives of the Health System’s Supplier Diversity Program are:
• Develop a corporate culture that promotes supplier diversity
• Encourage, promote and increase participation of SMWVBEs
• Provide the maximum practicable procurement opportunity for SMWVBEs
• Remove barriers that may minimize opportunities for SMWVBEs
• Develop 2nd Tier subcontracting reporting relationships with major suppliers and contractors

Vendors interested in doing business with the Health System must register online at uhs.uhsvendors.com. The online vendor registration system serves as a secure repository of all vendors registered to do business with the Health System. This system is designed to improve the quality of data since vendors can register and update their information online.
