(J) Vendor representatives are strictly prohibited from having direct patient contact or operating any medical equipment that is in direct patient contact. Vendor representatives that have approved credentialing and access to the Surgical Services area must comply with perioperative policies and procedures.
(IV) VENDOR RESPONSIBILITIES
All vendor representatives who provide services to the Health System or its patients must meet and adhere to all requirements, rules, policies, procedures, regulations and vendor protocols of the Health System.
Violation of this policy may result in disciplinary actions up to and including suspension, termination of privileges of the vendor representative, company or companies involved, and all sanctions allowed by Health System policy and law. Vendors who are not properly identified and have not completed the vendor credentialing process must be referred to the vendor credentialing service or the Office of the Executive Director Supply Chain. If the vendor representative is credentialed and has not completed the vendor check in process, he/she must be referred to the designated vendor registration location or kiosk to obtain appropriate identification.
(V) DEPARTMENTAL/EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES (A) All directors, managers, and supervisors of departments are responsible for ensuring all vendors meet Health System vendor credentialing requirements and follow all Health System policies, procedures, rules, regulations and vendor protocols while on Health System premises.
(B) Employees must be vigilant regarding the presence of unauthorized personnel in the workplace. Persons not displaying appropriate identification or not having a scheduled appointment should be instructed to leave the area and/or premises. Staff is encouraged to report the incident to Office of the Executive Director Supply Chain and/or Protective Services.
